GLEC receives U.S. EPA’s Outstanding Small Business Contractor Award

April 2024 – Great Lakes Environmental Center, Inc. received the EPA Administrator’s Award for Outstanding Accomplishments by a Small Business Contractor in fiscal year 2023. GLEC was nominated for the award by the EPA Office of Ground Water and Drinking Water, and was selected for the award following a review by the EPA Small Business Program Awards Panel.  The award recognizes GLEC’s outstanding contractor support for implementation of the Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR) and development of drinking water standards.  The award will be presented at the EPA Administrator’s 34th Annual Small Business Awards Ceremony May 2nd in Washington D.C., hosted by the EPA’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization during National Small Business Week.  GLEC has provided continuous prime contractor support to the UCMR program since 2000.
